It seemed simple enough once I found documents written by about 3 bloggers on their experience. The difficult part was reading Google’s instructions. Is it me or do they have someone writing this in Martian? Okay, now we wait to see if they capture all of my data, move all of the emails etc. I am hoping for painless but one never knows when all you can do is click a couple of links and change the URL on the feed on Blogger. Stand by to stand by. If you are using Blogger, you have until the end of THIS month to make your Feedburner to Google transfer. Let’s hope that the reporting of subscriptions is much more stable.
Bloggers follow this blow by blow instruction and you should do just fine.
- Log into your Feedburner account.
- Select a feed. I have more than one blog so I clicked on “My Feeds” and clicked on one of them.
- Back up your subscribers email list.
- Once complete with that, look at the top. You’ll see a small “Transfer your feed” IMMEDIATELY under the title of your blog.
- Click the link.
- Insert the email address you use for Feedburner.
- Click the bar beneath that says ” Send Your Transfer Acceptance Request”.
- Go to your email account and click the link Feedburner sends you.
- Refresh your Feedburner page.
- Click “Edit Feed Details” to the left of the link where you transferred your feed.
- Here is where you’ll find your new feed URL.
- Now log into your Blogger account and go to the SETTINGS TAB.
- Next go to the SITE FEED link.
- You’ll see the slot where you update your feedburner feed URL.
- Don’t forget that your email subscription feed URL will change as well. You’ll have to go go to the Publicize tab in Feedburner and pick up and replace that HTML code as well.
Here are a few links to sites that I read before moving:

And, be prepared for your subscriber count to fall. I am reading that after a few days the numbers settle and all the kinks seemingly work themselves out. I suppose that is no worse than the previous glitches we have suffered through with Feedburner.
