Confessing that I am a Facebook Dummy may or may not help me.
Update: I read this morning that indeed pages are different from personal accounts. I still don’t know how you keep them separate without separate accounts assuming you want them separate. But, having said that, I think I will be ordering this book.
Late last night I had a comment from Nikki on Facebook telling me that she had gotten my post about a Swag Code update 6 hours after the fact on the ATS FB feed. It was way to late for my brain to figure it out last night so today I have been digging around in Facebook attempting to get my blog feed to post automatically in a timely way to FB. I thought I had done that already. Obviously not. Perhaps I am not the social networking guru that I thought I might be when it comes to linking the blog. ::::sigh:::
So, now I need some fans and lots of you to become a fan so that my fan page will be verified. Their rules, not mine. If you would be so kind, please become a fan by clicking on the flag in the second Facebook widget on the right-hand sidebar. While you are over there, if you want to see the blog feed on FB, you have to join that as well which is the first FB widget on the right-hand sidebar. Confused? So am I.
I have to tell you for all the things I know about blogging, I am feeling really ignorant about Facebook. If anyone knows, can you answer me these questions???????
1) Facebook account is a basic account. You add everything else you want to it?
2) You add your blog via Networked Blogs and set up the feed. This links to your account in the menu bar? With the blog you get a discussion board??? REALLY?
3) Facebook Fan Page is also separate but can be linked to my original account in the menu bar?
Do I have the basics correct? Yep, it’s clear as mud. Who’s a Facebook pro? Come out come out where ever you are. Point me to the correct tutorial!

I know that a lot of updates have been make to Facebook. I personally like the enhancements and it is somewhat more user friendly but I’m still about half lost. I use FB late at night on my iPod. THAT is a ride all on its own.
I’m afraid to find out what I really have! ROFL
Apparently I had 2 fan pages and didn’t know it….this stuff is hilarious. Better grab me a copy too….Twitter so much easier. LOL
I am waiting for an issue to be available at the library. I guess there are more than one of us dummies.
Frances, I just updated the post. I am ordering Facebook for Dummies. I am going to order the Kindle ver. Facebook for Dummies. Maybe I’ll find my answer.
I so understand and have lost my feed as well. Still trying to figure out the changes that Facebook has made. I have lost my Fan page feed and have no clue how to get it back. Why they don’t put out a manual is beyond me. I am in the same boat “SOS” Help me!!!
