Target Mobile Coupons Have Arrived As Predicted!

This is a re-post. Target just dropped a press release about Target Mobile Coupons and the world is scurrying to get the word out. I, and many other bloggers, have reported this info over a month ago. I just wanted to re-post this to bring the point home that bloggers really do have their ear tuned into the Internet to bring you all the best news FIRST.

Just 9 days ago I did a post about Target Technology. In it I said…

Call me crazy but I can see this easily turning into couponing via cell phone especially when you can already sign up for text notifications for Target Coupons and deals send directly to your phone.

Now I am not exactly psychic but I knew we were close. It has arrived. Just click the link above and sign up if you didn’t already do it. You should know that text messaging charges do apply. It is incredibly easy to sign up for these coupons and it is one way to never forget at least some of your coupons. Yes, you should be able to stack with manufacturers coupons.

Also, be sure to check out the Target site for other ways to connect or check out my previous post.  Let’s hope now that Target has come this far that Cellfire coupons at Target are next!

Ginger,
I did use one the second week they sent it to me and it worked great!! Loved it. But have not received any more since then. I’m bummed because it was so lovely and easy!!

Hi Ginger,

I got two my mobile Qs on 2/14 and 2/21, that’s all, no more since then. I tried to use at store and it wouldn’t scan. Target needs to train and announce its new system to cashiers. I even forwarded the link to my email and got it to print one of them (the first one, says unavailable but it shows on my phone). Still the cashier, can’t scan. I called the corporate and they still have no idea. I gave up….wasting time and giving me big frustration.

Daisy,
Same here. I logged into my Target mobile account: http://target.com/save and found all the same coupons that I received in total those two times. I’ve not used my mobile coupons yet. I am wondering if you use them if they send more. Have you used yours yet?

Hi Molly – you have me howling over here. I have this little movie of you at guest services going on in my head. I am getting info from more and more Targeteers that are dropping my name at the cashout and guest services. If they only knew who Ginger really was. I read a research paper on Target not having an official blog. Why would they need one? I’m doing it for them and being tortured by Google along the way.

I should have use the name Tanya so I could sign everything “Tanya – Target Blogger”. All I need is the name badge and the red shirt. ROFL

I went and used another “mobile” phone coupon today….the idiot guest service person almost wouldn’t scan it because she hadn’t heard of them!!! I had a little fight going on. I can be stubborn about my coupons though….Can you believe it….bloggers (I LOVE GINGER)…are so ahead of the game. She finally scanned it and it posted…for the cheese and glade candle!

Darian!!!!!! I am so glad you dropped by and commented. I am inclined to believe that a push to Target Guest Relations via email & phone if continued for a prolonged period of time may in fact do some good.

Targeteers? Are you up to the challenge? Visit this page for info on how to contact Target. :)

I’d love LOVE L-O-V-E to include “Target Cellfire” in my matchups weekly!

Ginger

The site says this: “Get your monthly offers via text message with a link to a barcode that can be scanned at checkout.”

This leads me to the conclusion that the text message is all you need. I signed up via their sign up form online. I got a response text back that said….
Welcome to Target Mobile Coupons. Up to 5 msgs/mo. Send STOP 2 end, HELP 4 info. Msg & data rates May apply.

The text came from 827-438 (Target).

I just sent a HELP text to them asking if you need Internet on phone or just text. Immediate response was to go to Target.com So, I did that and clicked on the terms at the bottom of the signup page.

It reads in part:
By signing up for Mobile Coupons, you consent to receive a maximum of 5 messages per month. You can unsubscribe at any time by texting ‘STOP CP’ to 827438 (TARGET). If you have any questions, text “HELP CP” to 827438 (TARGET) or contact us at 1-877-839-6433. <— Suggest you call this number.

The service is available on these US carriers only: Aliant, Alltel, AT&T, Boost Mobile, Cellcom, Cellular South, Centennial, Cincinnati Bell, Dobson, East Kentucky Network, Immix Wireless, nTelos, Rural Cellular, Sprint, Suncom, T-Mobile, Telus, Union Telephone, US Cellular Corp, Verizon, Virgin Mobile and West Central Wireless.

Target does not charge you for sending or receiving text messages to 827438.

I’m guessing text only since nothing is mentioned about Internet anywhere.
